The training and workshop center celebrated the occasion of Mother's Day in the presence of the President of the University Prof. Dr. Amin Daway Thamir with both the assistant of the scientific affairs Prof.Dr. Alaa Abdulhassan Atiya and the assistant of the administrative Affairs Prof.Dr.Sami Aboalnoon Ajeel in addition to the heads of the departments and directorates.

 The ceremony began by  reciting verses of Holly Quran followed by the president of the University speech, then the distribution of special gifts on this occasion to all the participants in the ceremony in gratitude and appreciation for the efforts of the Iraqi mother for  her giving and sacrifice  for the country .During the ceremony, the center was  granted an appreciation certificate as it is the first center to celebrate the mother's day for three consecutive years, where Mrs. (Bisan Jasab Jassim) also was honored on this occasion.

The University of Technology celebrated the International Women's Day at the University Theater Hall in the presence of the President of the University Prof. Dr. Amin Daway Thamir with both the assistant of scientific affairs Prof.Dr. Alaa Abdulhassan Atiya and the assistant of administrative Affairs Prof.Dr.Sami Aboalnoon Ajeel in addition to the heads of the departments. During the celebration, the university president delivered a speech in which he praised the role of women in the University of Technology and in building the sophisticated society.

Concluding the ceremony, senior researcher Ms.(Aseel Nasrat Abdullah) representing higher studies  department granted an International Women's Day Pries .

A workshop titled "International Academic Classifications" was organized in cooperation with the department of Electrical Engineering. The lecture was delivered by Prof. Dr. Ivan Abdel-Zahra. The workshop characterized by exchanging information which included several discussions with the faculty staff in this field.
